Snap-On Implant Overdentures — what patients ask

Most snap-on overdentures use 2 implants for the lower jaw and 4 for the upper. Your case is planned with CBCT imaging at consultation.

Very stable, but not identical. Snap-on overdentures move slightly more under heavy chewing than a fixed All-on-4. For most patients the difference is comfortable; for high-demand eaters, fixed may be the better choice.

Easier cleaning around the implants, especially for patients with arthritis or limited dexterity. Many denturists actually recommend snap-on over fixed for long-term hygiene and implant health.

The plastic inserts inside the locator caps wear out and are replaced every 1–3 years as a routine maintenance item — quick, low-cost chairside swap.
