Accessibility

Care that works
for every patient.

Every MyBite clinic is wheelchair-accessible. Every member of our team is trained to accommodate mobility, sensory, and cognitive needs. If you're worried about whether we can make your visit work, tell us — and we will.

What We Do

How we accommodate different needs

If your specific need isn't on this list, ask. We've adapted for a lot.

Physical Accessibility

Every MyBite clinic is wheelchair-accessible — entries, operatories, washrooms. We have height-adjustable chairs and equipment for patients with mobility limitations.

Visual Accessibility

Treatment plans and consent forms are available in large print on request. We can read materials aloud and we use screen-reader-compatible formatting on our website.

Hearing Accessibility

We can communicate via written notes, accommodate ASL interpreters you arrange (or help you arrange one), and write down anything that's hard to hear.

Anxiety & Sensory Support

Dental anxiety is common. Tell us. We move at your pace, explain everything step-by-step, and dim sensory load (lights, sound) wherever possible.

Cognitive Support

Treatment plans written in plain language, time to think between appointments, support for patients with dementia or cognitive impairment — including coordination with caregivers.

Home Visits

For patients who genuinely cannot come to us — homebound, in long-term care, or recovering from major surgery — we can sometimes accommodate a home visit. Ask.

Telling Us What You Need

Please — call ahead.

The single best thing you can do is tell us when you book. Call the clinic directly or the new patient hotline at 1-833-MyBite-1, describe your situation, and we will set up the visit to work for you.

Examples of what's worth saying: I use a wheelchair. I have severe dental anxiety. I'm hard of hearing and lip-read. I have a service animal. I need a quiet room. I have mobility limitations and need help transferring. I'm bringing a caregiver who will help me make decisions.

None of those are imposition. All of them help us prepare. Patients who tell us in advance get better visits than patients who don't — every time.

Website Accessibility

What we're doing online.

This website is built to WCAG 2.1 AA conformance targets. That includes keyboard-navigable interactive elements, semantic structure for screen readers, sufficient contrast ratios, descriptive alt text on photos, and resizable text without breaking layout.

We test with screen readers on iOS, Android, and desktop. We test keyboard navigation. We test with the contents zoomed to 200%.

If you encounter an accessibility issue on our website, tell us. Call 1-833-MyBite-1 or write to our office. We will fix it and circle back to confirm it's fixed.

Common Questions

Accessibility — what patients ask most

Yes. Every MyBite clinic has accessible entry, operatories, and washrooms. If you have a specific mobility setup we should plan around, call ahead and we will confirm details for your visit.

Yes, and you're not alone. Many of our patients chose MyBite because dental anxiety made other clinics impossible. We move at your pace, we don't surprise you with procedures, and we will pause anytime you ask.

Of course. Whether that's a partner, an adult child, a paid caregiver, or a friend — bring them. We expect caregivers to be part of the conversation for many of our patients.

Yes. If hearing is difficult or speech feels unsafe, we can communicate entirely in writing during your visit. Just tell us when you book.

In specific cases — patients who are homebound, in long-term care, or genuinely cannot travel for medical reasons. Call 1-833-MyBite-1 to discuss whether your situation qualifies.

We're denturist-owned, not corporate. There's no sales pressure, no quota, no upsell. The denturist you meet at the consultation is the one who treats your case. If you had a bad experience elsewhere, please come in and tell us — knowing what to avoid is helpful.

Tell us what you need.

Call 1-833-MyBite-1 or your nearest clinic before your visit. Describe your situation. We will set up the appointment to work for you.
